Privacy Policy

VERSION: v03
Last Updated: July 20th, 2026
Effective Date: July 20th, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Themroc Limited ("Themroc", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Numble mobile application ("Numble", "the app").

Numble is a daily math puzzle game. We have designed it to be as private as possible: no account is required, no personal information is collected from you, and your game data never leaves your device.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

None. Numble does not require account creation or any personal information from you.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using a local SQLite database and iOS system storage:

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

3. Data Generated When Fetching Daily Challenges

Each day, the app downloads the daily puzzle challenge from our server. This is a one-way download — no data about you or your gameplay is sent to us.

However, as with all web server requests, our server automatically records a standard access log entry each time your device downloads a challenge. This log entry contains:

This is standard server infrastructure logging, necessary for security monitoring and diagnosing technical problems. We do not use this data to identify or track individual users, and we do not combine it with any other information about you.

Retention: Server access logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

4. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

Numble shows ads through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK is active whenever the app runs. Depending on the consent choice you make in the app, this may involve:

We do not receive or store this data ourselves — it is processed by Google and its advertising partners under their own privacy policies. You control this through the consent choices described in "Your Ad Choices" below.

Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

We process the server log data described above on the basis of legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Operating a server without access logs is not practically possible; the logs are necessary for us to detect abuse, diagnose faults, and ensure the service remains available. This processing is proportionate and does not override your interests or fundamental rights.

Advertising data processed via Google AdMob is based on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), gathered through an in-app consent message when you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. You can withdraw or change this consent at any time — see "Your Ad Choices" below.

All other data (your game results and settings) is stored locally on your device only. We do not process it.

Your Ad Choices

Numble gives you control over ad-related data sharing:

To change your choice, open Numble and go to Settings → Ad Privacy Options.

Data Sharing

Advertising Partners

Numble uses Google AdMob to show ads that help keep the app free to play. Google and its advertising partners may process device and advertising data as described above, subject to the consent choices available to you in the app.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on your location, ad-related data sharing with our advertising partners may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information under applicable law (for example, California's CPRA). You can opt out of this sharing at any time — see "Your Ad Choices" above.

Other Third Parties

Themroc Limited does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for any purpose other than the advertising described above.

If you choose to share your result using your device's share sheet, that action is handled entirely by iOS and the app you share to. We do not transmit or store the shared content.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, for example in response to a court order, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Themroc Limited, our users, or others.

Children's Privacy

Numble is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Age Rating: Rated 4+ (suitable for all ages)

Advertising: Numble shows ads via Google AdMob. We do not knowingly direct personalised advertising at children.

No Account Required: Anyone can play without providing any personal information.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information relating to a child, please contact us at privacy@themroc.net.

If you are located in the EEA, the same rights and protections described above apply to you under the EU GDPR. Server log data may be stored on servers located in the UK or EEA.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as new features are added to the app. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated version number and effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in app update release notes.
